Maverick’s Black Cat

Catarena Vaughn, better known as “Cat”, was only in the chat room for research. When one of the other occupants offers answers to the questions she has, Cat takes him up on his offer. It is all harmless fun. Maverick begins to take Cat on a journey she never imagined she would be interested in. As she opens herself to his teachings, Cat finds herself enjoying and even looking forward to more cyber messages from Maverick. Their messages find the two connecting on a personal level that Cat never expected. When Maverick sends her a webcam, Cat is shocked to learn the true identity of her cyber lover.

Mason Broderick is bored with the women in his life. He wants more than arm candy. Observing BlackCat in the cyber chat room piques his interest. The woman’s sassy mouth made Mason want to learn more about her. As Maverick and BlackCat begin their online relationship, Mason cannot help but wonder who BlackCat is in the real world. Their online meetings begin to heat up and Mason/Maverick decides to take things up a notch. He wants to see this BlackCat.

Maverick’s Black Cat is a perfect example of love finding you when you least expect it. Ms. Casper and Ms. Matthews have created two very unique and complex characters that will steal the readers' hearts. Cat is a strong-willed individual who does not like Mason’s overbearing attitude about what she can and cannot do. As the two fight a battle of wills, each realizes how much they need one another. The extreme physical attraction they share is balanced by the emotional pull between them. I could not put this book down! I look forward to reading more from Ms. Casper and Ms. Matthews.
