Men to Die For
Hidden Enemies – Ravyn Wilde
Jenna had loved her husband before the accident changed him into a man she no longer knew, before he became a man that is very violent. Now that they are divorced, he is determined to kill her. Frightened, Jenna knows she must do whatever it takes to protect herself. Cole is the type of man that Jenna believes would never give her a second look. But he does and they spend a very passionate night together. Cole is the author of a book telling people how to disappear. But Cole has never had a woman disappear from his bed the way the lovely Jenna did and he is determined to find her. Jenna is shocked when Cole tracks her down and even more shocked at the conflicting emotions she feels for him.
Meltdown – Denise A. Agnew
Lillian O’Hara sensed the earthquake before it actually hit. While most people did not understand it, it did allow her to meet her new hunky neighbor, firefighter Evan Murdoch. Lillian cannot deny the passion that flames between she and Evan. She knows that Evan wants her and cannot understand his reluctance to become involved. Evan has loved and lost before. A fire took Evan’s confidence and his girlfriend and he is unsure if he can withstand another loss.
Make That Man Mine – Shelly Munro
Emma Montrose knows what she wants for her twenty-fifth birthday – Jack Sullivan. Jack only sees her as a secretary but working with him on a case will be her chance to show how much more she is. Jack has a secret that he cannot let anyone find out, he is a taniwha, a shapeshifter. Jack needs sex to satisfy the needs of the serpent within. But Jack’s secret has already hurt someone close to him and he does not want to lose anyone else.
Men to Die For are most definitely that! Each of the three men featured in this anthology is to die for. All three stories contain couples that have a very physical relationship which is balanced by the emotional connection growing between them. In Hidden Enemies, Ms. Wilde has created a man and woman that must each face individual fears to have the life that they want. I enjoyed that Jenna knew she had to ultimately be responsible for the trouble in her life. Denise Agnew’s Meltdown finds two people that must face past hurts and new fears to be whole. The personal growth that both Lil and Evan go through is amazing and will endear them to the reader. A shapeshifter is the last thing that Emma expects in Shelly Munro’s Make That Man Mine, but she does not allow that to stop her from being with the man she has come to love.
