Mrs. Right

Blair Fayard is not having a good day. She has lost her job and her boyfriend not only stuck her for his part of the rent but he also took her part of the rent. Blair has to find a job fast if she does not want to be evicted. Working at a convenience store is not her first choice, but it will pay the bills and allow her to finish her degree. Her boss, Race Sutton, definitely makes the work day worthwhile. There is something about the man that Blair just cannot resist. The only problem with this widowed father is that he wants a stay-at-home mother for his young son. Blair may be attracted to Race but she wants to work outside the home.

Race Sutton thinks his new employee, Blair, is very desirable and would like to get to know her better. But what is best for his son, Steve, is his first priority. Race wants a wife that will stay home and be there for Steve when he comes home from school. Blair is definitely not that kind of woman. She seems to look down on working at the convenience store that Race manages. Race is unable to deny the attraction that seems to be brewing between them and has no power to stop it. As Race continues to look for his Mrs. Right he keeps coming back to a woman who is Mrs. Wrong, Blair.

Ashley Ladd’s Mrs. Right is a charming story of finding love when and where you least expect it. Blair is an independent woman that has worked hard for her degree and wants to put it to use with her dream job. Race wants a wife that stays home with the kids and takes care of the house. Their relationship is on the line as Blair tries to show Race that a loving mother is not determined by whether she works or not. I enjoyed the chemistry that sizzled between Race and Blair from their first meeting. The two connected both emotionally and physically. I look forward to reading more from Ms. Ladd.
