Bitten & Smitten

What do you do with a 600 year old vampire who wants to end his life?

Sarah, on a blind date, was turned into a vampire without her permission by that dreaded terrible bore. Her date just happens to get killed in front of her by Vampire hunters. Oh, lord what fate to be turned into a vampire from a blind date!

Now she is on the run from them, and meets up with Thierry de Bennicouer. Thierry is at the end of his rope ready to end his existence as a vampire until that fateful night he ends up saving Sarah from the vampire hunters.

Come out in the day and play! These vampires are able to go out and about in the sun, hold normal jobs and do what we all do in our daily life. Thierry has set up vampire nightclubs where the vampires can come and partake of blood as well as have some fun. Thierry has taken over teaching Sarah how to survive as a vampire. Sarah is the one that trouble comes to without her having to go looking for it. As the desire heats up between Thierry and Sarah the vampire hunters are killing all the vampires throughout Toronto and the surrounding area. Not only is Thierry out to protect and save his fellow vampires, he fights the desire that is building in him for Sarah.

Thrown into this mess Veronica is the wife of Thierry who appears with Quinn a vampire hunter turned vampire. Veronica comes from France while Quinn was made a vampire from those who were watching over Sarah. As things heat up and trouble looms on the horizon, decisions must be made and lives will change.

Will Thierry chose to end it all, go back to his wife or start a new life with Sarah?

Come out and play during the day was an excellent new twist with the vampires going out during the day to work and play. Bitten & Smitten by Michelle Rowen is just the book that is well worthy of a look! Not only smitten but the book is so well written that I read the book from start to finish without putting it down. I was so engrossed that I missed my favorite television show as I was enveloped into a world of vampires.

Enticed into the story you are hoping that Sarah will find the love of her life as the stranger than fiction events happen to her. Sarah is a strong woman who is so easy to identify with, you find yourself enjoying page after page of all that she goes thru. One of my favorite parts in the story is where Sarah does not treat Thierry as the master like everyone else but like an equal and a man thus making him think about things and how to make them better.

All in all this is a book that I would recommend for anyone who loves vampires. With twists and turns at every moment this book grabs and holds your attention from start to finish. I will be looking for more books by Michelle Rowen as this book was that good.
