Kat Daniels is a hotshot chemist for Hot Spot, an adult industry company that makes products like movies, lotions, toys and games for sexually adventurous people.

Mike Benson is the oh so succulent good looking man who just happens to work at Hot Spot with Kat. He enjoys his job as a chemist and product developer and is willing to test some of the products with her.

Because of her refusal to be Edward’s sexual toy at last year’s Christmas Party, he’s out to get her and steal Kat and Mike’s lotion. But Kat is not having it. And now Kat is ready for pay back!

She and Mike discover that when it comes to getting the kinks ironed out, practice makes perfect. All the while, Edward lurks in the background ready to fire Kat. Will they get caught testing the products on each other at work? Or will Edward finally get his wish, Kat gone and her new product that will revolutionize the adult industry to claim as his own?

Licks and Promises more than meets the promise of a good book to read as it left you rooting for Kat and Mike, the underdogs, to come out on top. While enticed into Kat and Mike’s lives, you hope that their relationship is not just an office affair but will continue blooming into more than lust. It must!

Licks and Promises is erotic but with a story line that pulls you in, as well as characters that hold your attention from the first moment to the last. Not only are you embracing Kat and Mike, but you also feel and want that weasel Edward Hunt to get what is coming to him. One of my favorite parts in the book was when Kat and Mike are testing products on each other to see how excited they can get each other while the evil weasel Edward stands out side the door to spy and try to figure out what they are doing. In Licks and Promises, Shawna Moore takes you into a world of high sexual tensions as well as intrigue that will keep you reading word after word!
