Cassie Richardson thought that drama and suspense were limited to the pages of the stories she creates. However, a call from her ex-husband Michael leads to the discovery that her son David has been kidnapped. While on his way to find David, Michael’s car explodes in an accident. What she thought was a normal life quickly dissolves into chaos and intrigue as Cassie struggles to find her son and the reasons behind his kidnapping and Michael’s death.

Not only does he want answers because Michael was a friend, but something about Cassie appeals to him. Someone is playing for keeps and it is not just money anymore, it is for their very lives.

She displays a rare skill for bringing the action to a pivotal, heart-stopping crescendo, just to rebuild the tension on the next page. Her writing will have you jumping at noises and shadows as you experience the apprehension and danger that surrounds Cassie. Lori has embodied this work with a variety of characters that add dimension and emotion to the plot. The main characters are believable and readers will appreciate the development and depth they portray. The developing relationship between Jordan and Cassie will have you holding your breath in anticipation, while the ongoing accidents and events will fill you with apprehension. One Eye in the Darkness will not disappoint fans looking for some surprising twists and turns in an already dramatic suspense.
