The Assassin - Tarot: Strength
Madison Foxe uses the imagery and ideas behind the Tarot card Strength to take readers on a walk on the dark side.
"The Prince" is an effective, notorious assassin. Listed on the most wanted sheets worldwide, no one knows who he is. Venus Rocchio is determined to prove that "The Prince" is none other than Dante Geotas. Thus begins her journey to discover the truth, only the truth she discovers is of a much more personal nature than she anticipated. For Dante Geotas, is no longer content to let her follow him into the shadows, he pulls her from hiding and into his arms. But for how long?
Madison Foxe has penned a tale that is a mesmerizing treat. The author sets the scene well and readers are compelled to find out if Venus can in fact prove what no other has been able to about "The Prince." When Dante confronts Venus, the dynamic shifts and carnal desire erupts. The scenes between the main characters are scorching as they learn that what is best for you, may not be what your heart desires. When Dante makes a bold statement, I was compelled to keep reading to see if in fact, Dante would do as he threatened. Ms. Foxe keeps you guessing as Dante's nature should allow him to carry out his threat with no remorse, only the glimpses of the man inside show that there are long dead feelings coming to life. Not only is Venus forced to confront her feelings and the precarious situation she finds herself in, she eventually finds herself a pawn in a much more deadly game. The violent confrontation to save Venus is done with a unique style. Brief but effective descriptions will leave the reader imagining all sorts of things as they try and do justice to the scene Ms. Foxe has set. The Assassin - Tarot: Strength is well done. This reader was surprised by ending and knows you will enjoy reading this as well if you enjoy your tales on the spicier side.
