Diving In
Stacey Machester is single, pregnant, and over men. She and her best friend Penny are on vacation in the Keys to regroup and so Stacey can make some important life decisions, not to mention escape from the situation that she has gotten herself into. She has convinced Penny that they should give up men and the pursuit of pleasure on this trip, instead making it a girl’s only event. That is before Jeff, Dale and a boat known as The Wet Dream comes into the picture.
They can’t seem to escape the two sexy men and their impressive boat with the sensual name. Although Stacey is determined to give up men, she can’t deny that she feels an intense sexual attraction to Jeff, the older of the brothers, when she meets him. She has plenty of time to get to know him while Penny is off cavorting with Dale, and Stacey enjoys every minute that she has with him. Yet, she knows that she can’t tell him that she is pregnant, and she won’t allow herself to indulge in a casual fling with him. She continues to attempt to push him from her mind and thoughts, but the harder that she tries, the harder he tries to prove to her that he wants more than a fling.
Jeff knows that Stacey isn’t like the other women that he has been with; she isn’t a flavor of the week. He can picture himself having a future with her; that is a little scary for a wild bachelor. However, she won’t even let him close enough to make her believe it, so what can he do? He requests three days to try to persuade her that they belong together. At the end of the three days, will he have succeeded? If he does succeed, how will he respond to the fact that she is pregnant with another man’s child?
Diving In makes a splash; it’s an unusual erotic story that incorporates sexual chemistry and sizzling sex scenes. Stacey and Jeff have an intense sexual attraction that refuses to be ignored. He knows that she is the one for him, and sets out to show her, an extremely attractive quality in a man. What woman wouldn’t want a man that is intent on proving his feelings and desires to her? Stacey is an independent female determined to make her own way, and raise her unborn child on her own, also an admirable quality. They are two people that are perfectly matched, yet they can’t seem to get it right. I enjoyed it from beginning to end, although I wanted them to get a little friendlier, a little faster.
