Voices Carry
Shana Adams is a terrorism expert with a secret, she is a telepath. Telepaths are not allowed to work in her field. However, she has been very good at keeping the secret, and is even better at doing her job, until now. There is someone on the inside selling secrets to the enemy. Shana is attempting to find out who is involved in the deception, while working on the case with Marcus, her boss, whose sex-ridden thoughts about her are breaking into her mind. She is secretly turned on by those thoughts, although she tries to ignore them and the man behind them. Yet the more that she tries to ignore them, the more prominent they are in her mind. She soon finds that she can no more ignore those illicit thoughts than she can ignore Marcus. She has developed a serious case of lust for him, and her feelings seem to be returned full force. While they are working together to catch a crooked insider, they begin to work on burning off some steam together as well. Their hot and sweaty sex sessions begin to consume Shana, and soon she realizes that she is developing some serious feelings for Marcus. But it doesn’t look like they will be living happily ever after. Her secret might have to come out very soon, because evidently she isn’t the only telepath that is working for the Federation, and she might have to reveal herself to reveal another who is using their gift for evil instead of good.
Shana and Marcus are on fire! Have a fire extinguisher on hand when reading this one because the pages nearly go up in smoke. Yes, the sex scenes are that hot! Ms. Schroeder has written a sizzling science fiction tale of espionage, telepathy, romance, and hot and heavy sex. Voices Carry is a twelve out of ten, I couldn’t put it down until I found out who the enemy was, and how Marcus would react to Shana’s secret. Ms. Schroeder is quickly making her way onto my list of favorite authors, read Voices Carry and see why…
