Tandem Unit

Reporter Sadie Thomas decides to do an expose on prostie-borgs, AI used for pleasure, in a bid to report on more than fluff, by going undercover in a prostie-brothel as one of the AI. She escapes the notice of potential customers with the help of a discount Overlook-Me chip until her chip gives out and she comes to the attention of two miners, who turn out to be Old Earth Vice Detectives David Blakely and Christian Holtstein. They came to the Prostie Palace to investigate the illegal use of human brains harvested from innocent colonist and placed in the prostie-borgs in order to cut down cost. What the detectives didn’t expect is to find a woman who could be all that they desire.

The detectives are not just close, but part of a whole due to a tandem chip they were implanted with. This chip makes it possible for them to share emotions, memories, and desires, and necessitates that they find a mate who would be willing to take them both on. To make matters worse such a woman is rare to find because these unions cause sensory overload. The detectives must undertake the task of convincing conservative Sadie that loving two men is right.

Tandem Unit is a steamy novel that captures readers with Sadie’s dilemma of obeying what she’s been taught or following her heart. The relationship between the three characters and the differing aspects that Sadie receives from the two men in her life are enough to make any girl contemplate a ménage a trios of her own. Evangeline Anderson's story was entertaining and leaves me looking forward to reading more of her work.
