First Sight To Last

Agent Singer McLaine is able to disguise herself so well that she's able to go places and find things that others can't. She was called in to find two detectives that have gone missing. She found them, just not the way she thought she would, by getting taken also. She knew from the photo of Detective Evan Wolcott that he would pack a punch, and when she saw him for the first time, she realizes how very true that was. Now she was going to have to work with him again posing as his wife, and after the way they had parted before, she knew she would have a hard time pulling it off. She would prove to him and herself that she was a professional and can do it anyway.

Evan needed help with this case, they needed to get Viza Burnett and to do that him and his partner needed wives. Evan asked for Singer and her friend and fellow agent Abby to come on board. The only hitch in their plans is that Viza had informed them he has set up all the arrangements for their wedding ceremony, now their act will become real. Once Viza sees Evan he had other plans for him, as he wants Singer for himself. While Singer is in Viza's penthouse to gather the evidence against him, something goes wrong, terribly wrong.

Ms. Horton's story is at times emotional and the reader will find themselves laughing, crying and then smiling. The dynamics between these characters is such that you feel like you're watching your best friend and want to jump in and help. You come to care for them and the trials they go through. The author has given us a story that will be thought about long after the story is finished. 4 Angels
