Rituals 1:<br> Shadow Man

David Bone's life was irrevocably changed when he, his wife and his unborn child were killed by two men trying to cast a spell. As David was dying two yellow eyes hovered in front of him watching him, that was the last thing he saw that day. As the two men left, they threw down a couple of bags filled with white powder to throw the police off. When he awoke in the morgue, he knew something was definitely different, he didn't think, feel or know anything. Kissing his wife a final goodbye, he followed the signs to the exit, and walked out into the night. When he walked by people on the way to the hotel they didn't notice he was there. When he reached a run down motel and walked up to the desk, the clerk turned, looked at him, started shaking and turned back to the t.v. turning it up louder. David walked around the desk, grabbed a key and went to the room. As he lay there wondering what had happened to him, the yellow eyes appeared before him and told him he was the jaguar god and needed David's help to get the two men who'd killed David and his family, and that he wanted his statue back. They will kill again if David doesn' help get them.

Detective Sargent Molly Sims meets David when he walks into the police station to tell her what he knows about the murder. She thinks, this is a man who she'd love to have control her. He tells her to follow him if she wants to know what he knows, she doesn't go even though she regrets it later. When he returns the next day for her, she goes protesting the whole way. But she knows there is a connection between them and she needs him. When he finally tells her what happened that day, she helps him find the men, but can she let him take control of that situation? Will she be able to stand back and not take control as a police officer? Will the jaguar god finally control David, or will David finally be free of him?

Mr. Wright has written an erotic tale about two people who find what they need in each other even through the sadness that underlies what pushes David to help the jaguar god. With humor thrown in, we get a story that makes us laugh as well as cheer for the hero and heroine. The author has made the other characters as believable as these two and you want them to get what is coming to them. Once you start reading this story you wont stop until the last word is read. I will be looking forward to reading the next book and hope that it will be soon. 4 Angels
