Tell-Tales

Kerry is headed back to the cabin to take care of those tell-tales from her life with Andy. Those little pieces of things left from Andy. She wants the cabin back to herself. He has used and abused her so much, she had to get him out of her life. As she gets out of the SUV, she thinks of how much stuff it takes to outfit the place, with not knowing how long it will take to reclaim for herself. She's surprised to find someone there.

Garth has been using the cabin whenever Andy and Kerry have been gone. He's surprised when she shows back up sooner than he expected, but he had noticed that when she had left after Labor Day, she had been alone. He's hiding out from things in his life and doesn't want anyone to know where he's been. But his life has just taken a turn now that Kerry is back. Garth has to take control so that she wont run.

Ms. South has written a short story that is suspenseful and doesn't let you know what happens until the very end. She catches you right from the beginning, but the scene of where Garth tied Kerry up to the chandelier is intense and you hold your breath waiting for what happens next. This is a psychological thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat. I'll be looking for more of Ms. South's work. 4 Angels
