Vigil House

What is really going on in Vigil House? When Boris Gregory wanted to have his house built, the Indians told him not on that spot, but he did it anyway. When he brought his new bride Tabitha home, she heard a voice tell her that there was no escape. Then things started happening.

She locks the door to her room and the nursery, but they still find a way in. Who wants to hurt Johanna? Who is trying to drive Vera out of the house? Some say it's the curse, others say it's insanity in the family. Will future generations have to be afraid of what will happen? This book will answer these questions and more.

Ms. Toombs has written a book that keeps you guessing until the end. She takes you through four generations that live in Vigil House and how it affects them. If you like gothic, you'll love this book. It has curses, mystery suspense, and witches. I found this book is both enjoyable and at times heart rendering. I especially enjoyed the writer's style in the scene where Naomi has gone into the room with the black door to cast a spell, and instead has a vision that is a pivotal moment in her life. Ms. Toombs's characters are three dimensional and very believable. 3 Angels.
