Miracles For Nick

Miracles For Nick is the third story in Holly Fuhrmann’s series that features Fern, Myrtle and Blossom, three fairy godmothers. It follows Mad About Max and Magic For Joy and is the story of Nick Aaronson, Max and Joy’s brother.

The three matchmaking fairy godmothers are back, but this time the rules have changed. Previously, only their godchild could see, hear and talk to them, but now Fern, Myrtle and Blossom are visible to all. Why have the rules changed? The fairies have found a perfect mate for Nick, the last single Aaronson sibling, in the form of Glory Chambers and they are determined that the pair should live happily ever after.

After divorcing her attorney husband and receiving a timely bequest from her aunt, Glory Chambers is making a new life for herself. She is now the proud owner of a run-down diner and before she even realises what is happening she has three new employees. Fern, Myrtle and Blossom help her whip the place into shape, and then to(would change to to help) run the diner.

Following a fairy cooking mishap, Nick Aaronson meets Glory, Fern, Myrtle and Blossom. Logical Nick doesn’t believe in fairies and he definitely does not want to be attracted to Glory. Glory doesn’t want to find him attractive either, after all he is an attorney and she’s sworn off them. With the fairy godmothers throwing them together at every opportunity, how long can Glory and Nick deny what the fairies know to be true?

Miracles For Nick is a fun and entertaining read. Fern, Myrtle and Blossom, as always, are a hoot. They mean well, but sometimes things do go awry, often with humorous results. Personally, I love to watch the hero resist and resist, and deny that he is in love, so I loved Nick. Cameos from Grace, Max, Joy, Gabriel and other Aaronson family members added to the story, giving the reader a chance to visit with favourite characters. I’m thoroughly enjoying this series. Holly Fuhrmann has not stuck to a “formula”, and as a result, each story is different. To me, that is one of the hallmarks of a great series. Next for me is the final book in this series, Fairly Human, and I can’t wait to see what Ms. Fuhrmann has in store for me! 4 angels.
