My Immortal<br> Knight IV: <br> Relentless

Max Weir is part of a special unit of humans and vampires that hunt down rogue vampires and destroy them. Max is not happy that vampires are included in his unit; he would rather kill them all. Also making him angry is the fact that his former best friend has now been turned, and another human member of the unit sleeps with a vamp. While hunting one group of rogues, the unit discovers a more dangerous enemy. A pack of werewolves has moved into their territory and are slaughtering humans and vampires. Max’s attitude is a threat to the team and they send a female vampire, Pia, to either seduce or turn him. His whole world is turned upside down when he finds himself enjoying sex with Pia. Max realises what his lover is and stops himself from killing her, but Pia isn’t the only one with a secret or two; Max is hiding a few things himself. Readers of the series will recognise Max. Ms Devlin keeps her series fresh by bringing her secondary characters from one book to the centre stage in another.

Ms Devlin’s writing is stylistically superb. The interplay between Max and the vampires he hates is done very well; you can sense the tension in each scene. The sex between Max and Pia is hard and hot. Keep ice beside you at all times while reading this book. The testosterone from the Alpha males contrasts magically with the comedy the female characters bring to the book. The twists in the story kept me interested, bringing many surprises. I really want to know what happens next with these characters. This novel really does have everything you want. My Immortal Knight IV: Relentless is a great addition to the series and I would not hesitate to recommend it to fans of Delilah Devlin, as well as those looking for a great read.
