One Night in Bangkok – Tarot: The Chariot

On her way home from work one night, Sarah Sutton’s pick up truck decides to pick a deserted stretch of road to break down on. Thankfully a café slash garage is near-by unfortunately neither opens for another 4 hours. It is 2 o’clock in the morning and Sarah doesn’t relish the thought of being out in the middle of the desert by herself. She is tired, hungry and just wants to get home for some much needed sleep. There is something in the air, a stillness that isn’t natural. Sarah is walking back to her truck to wait until sun up, when a bolt of heat lightning knocks her off of her feet. She can’t believe what she has just seen, but see it she did!

Ralph Watkins has made a grave error in judgment this night. He has done something that could endanger not only his way of life, but all of the people that he knows. Ralph must convince this young cute ‘lil lady that what she has witnessed was a figment of her imagination. Ralph is very used to getting his own way and he has never run across a woman as strong in spirit as well as mentally as Sarah. Let the battle of wills begin.

Ralph is the most handsome man that Sarah has ever seen and she is very much attracted to him, but he is trying to get her to forget what she saw and what is “that” in the ditch behind him? Ralph relies on a tactic that he is sure will lower Sarah’s defenses, thereby ensuring the secret of his people or so he thinks. During some very hot lovemaking, Sarah and Ralph battle to outwit each other making this reader feel like she was in the desert herself with all of the heat being generated between these two.

One Night in Bangkok is a story that keeps you guessing until almost the very last page regarding what our Ralph has to hide. I was proud of Sarah, for even in the midst of the best sex she has ever had, she kept her wits about her.
