Out of the Dark

Cait is Sidhe, an empathic race of beings that people thought were extinct. Tiny and Indio love her with all their hearts and they would prefer to be married, if it wasn’t for the bigamy laws still in effect. They’ve discovered the Selkie suits, a unique symbiotic that has the ability to enhance and make a person almost invincible. They have all been called to earth for a lawsuit by companies that make space suits. These companies fear that the Selkie Suit will replace their product. Cait and her husbands are called to earth to testify, and when they get there, they are separated by an explosion in the airport. Cait is injured and loses her memory of the last four months, and ends up with Midor, a furred Sidhe. Will Cait get her memory back of her husbands? Or will Midor replace them in her heart?

Out of the Dark is a good futuristic story with a lot going on. Because Cait is empathic, she feels and understands people better than most. Her relationship with Tiny and Indio is passionate and loving; they don’t compete against another. They are a three way couple that should be together like a married couple. Midor is an interesting character with a lot of issues that he has to work through. I really liked Barbara Karmazin’s newest book and will definitely look for more from her in the future.
