Samantha Hunter meets Nick Ryan in the worst possible way, signing a lease on the cottage she was supposed to rent. Right then and there, she puts a curse on his life and moves reluctantly into her friend’s crowded condo. Little does she know the curse is not necessary because soon after their fateful meeting, Nick finds out that his brother, Derek has been involved in a accident with his motorcycle, making it impossible to participate in the reality show, “Here Comes the Bride,” which Nick had been planning on writing a book about. In a bind, and taking care of his brother as he has done all his life, he agrees to become the “Bachelor Prince,” in his brother’s place.

Samantha is in a similar bind. Her best friend Tiffany, who is the assistant to the producer of “Here Comes the Bride,” is short one Bachelorette. Knowing she owes her friend Tiffany for letting her stay at her condo while house hunting, Samantha reluctantly agrees to be the last Bachelorette.

From the first taping of the show, Samantha and Nick recognize each other and that propels Samantha to get kicked off as fast as possible. She goes out of her way to make it happen but Nick soon finds himself drawn to Samantha, dowdy clothes, garlic breath and all. Will pressure from the outside keep these two contestants from finding what they weren’t looking for in the first place…true love?

I thought this was a wonderful book. There were a lot of laugh out loud moments that kept me reading from page one. Since I love reality shows, it was a lot of fun reading about one. The tension helped move the story forward and the secondary characters were well written and helped make the story fun. This book was a real easy read and I’ll be looking for more from Ms. Bellamy in the future.
