When the Bortan destroy Marla of Torl’s house and planet, she’s devastated. All she wants to do is bury the many dead, but instead she’s about to be raped by a Bortan. Trev has been in love with Marla since he was a teenager. His father was Torl’s biggest rival in the sex slave trade and there was real animosity between the two families. But nothing could stop Trev from wanting to make Marla his… not a family feud and certainly not war. When Kopah territory is destroyed by the Bortan, Trev’s first thought is to get to Torl and rescue Marla. He won’t let the Bortan have her. Once he’s rescued her, it’s only a matter of time before Trev and Marla give into their desire for each other. The peace and beauty of their world is in ruins and neither knows what the next day will bring. All they know is that they don’t want to be apart. Will they be able to escape to a new place and start over or are the Bortan going to make sure neither Marla nor Trev ever have the chance to profess their love for each other?

Sex Slaves 1: Sex Traders was a scorching read! It was incredibly erotic and Trev really was a warrior hero out of any woman’s fantasies. But the incredible love story and characters aside, Lorie O’Clare does a sensational job of conveying the destruction and adversity Trev and Marla are facing. I got chills down my spine reading some of the descriptions of the Bortan; they were so inhumane and scary. Trev and Marla face a huge task: they need to not only rescue each other but also try to save anyone else still alive after the Bortan’s raids. They rise to their challenges magnificently, both becoming not only incredibly admirable characters, but also heroes that the citizens of their planet could look up to.
