Memories to Come

Remak is a soldier recently captured by the Tarlons. The only one of his regiment to survive, Remak is left to fester in the dungeon without food or water. On the brink of death, the goddess, Gillian, visits him. Gillian is quite perturbed by Remak who has let the opportunity of a lifetime pass him by. Through Dickensesque visions, the goddess allows Remak the experience of what his life could have been like if he had not remained a soldier. Longing for the life that the goddess shows him, Remake desires to make the visions memories to come.

Memories to Come is an Ellora's Cave quickie that I enjoyed immensely. As I experienced what Remak experienced, I desperately wanted a happy ending for the hero. While I don't want to reveal too many plot details, suffice it to say, I was caught up in the events of the story as they unfolded and wished for his safety and well-being. I credit Cricket Starr for writing such a beautifully told story. Once I had started reading, I did not want the story to end.

The love scenes are frequent, tender, and passionate. Remak and the woman of his visions enjoy soulful, spine-tingling sex, made more poignant by the fact that there is love behind every kiss and caress.

Cricket Starr's Memories to Come is an outstanding story. Thoroughly engrossing and filled with rich and vibrant characters, Memories to Come is a story I highly recommend.
