Colorblind

Veronica knows that her current boyfriend, Kevon has got to go. He always puts himself and his pleasure before her. Veronica decides to broaden her dating horizons. While at work, she meets Bryan. Bryan is everything Veronica has been looking for in a man – he is cute, sexy, sweet, and funny and really seems to like her. There is one thing different about Bryan, though, he is white. A series of misunderstandings almost keep Bryan and Veronica from connecting, but Veronica is determined to get her man. The more time they spend together, the more she falls in love.

Bryan is used to women turning him down. They all see him as the loveable, cute friend. When he meets Veronica he wants all that to change. But it does not look like it will when Veronica refuses to have dinner with him. Much to his surprise, Veronica begins to pursue him. The difference in their cultures does not seem to be a major stumbling block between them – but what about their family and friends?

Colorblind is a truly wonderful story. Bryan and Veronica demonstrate and prove the old adage of love overcoming all obstacles. They each face personal struggles in their attempt to be together. The sexual chemistry between Veronica and Bryan is balanced by their struggle to create a true and lasting relationship. Mr. Bradbury has created such memorable characters that I hated for the story to end.
