Descendents of Darkness, Volume 1

ALONSO
Alonso, a vampire, and Jolie meet on the anniversary of his turning. Jolie makes her living telling fortunes to tourists visiting New Orleans. Alonso saves Jolie from his old friend Lucius and realizes she is his life-mate. Jolie also senses she is destined to be with Alonso.

LUCIUS
Lucius is looking for his life-mate. He can sense her. Tala is also looking for her life-mate. Lucius, a vampire, and Tala, a werewolf, find one another, only to discover that their union may eventually kill Tala. Unwilling to give up their relationship, they look for a cure to the curse preventing them from being together.

LEONARDO
Leonardo is surprised when he meets Erin. She is a vampire slayer, sworn to kill all of his kind. When he pulls Erin off of a recent kill, Leonardo feels an instant connection. Erin feels the same connection. No man has ever made her feel this way. Knowing she is intent on killing him, Leonardo goes to her. Erin is his life-mate and he must convince her that they are meant to be and their love is eternal.

RAIFE
Raife hears the voice beckoning him. When he finds Yvette, a witch, at her Wiccan shop, he knows she is his life-mate. Yvette also feels the connection, believing Raife is the one she should spend eternity with. But is she willing to be turned and become immortal? When Yvette is attacked, Raife is desperate to help her.

Descendents of Darkness, Volume 1 is the story of four vampire friends in New Orleans. Ms. LaCroix has created wonderful stories that you hate to see end. While each man and woman is from a different background, they are able to look past their differences and form a lasting relationship. Each couple has exceptional sexual chemistry. Each man feels an instant connection to the woman who is to be is life-mate. Each woman is willing to change her life to be with the man she is destined to spend her life with. I hated to see this story end.
