Some Practical Magic

Going on tour to promote her new book, is not journalist Cassandra Hawthorne’s idea of a good time. But it is a necessary evil. It is also a good way to get away from her mother’s matchmaking attempts. So what if she is a single 400-year-old witch. Cassie is looking for Mr. Right, not Mr. Maybe. Mirek “Mick” Sandro, better known as M. S. Kazimer, is a man with a lot on his plate. His business manager/agent/ex-fiancee is trying to rekindle their relationship, he has to go on a book tour, is retiring from writing and has a serial killer recreating murder scenes from his books. Mick is attracted to Cassie from the moment he meets her. Between Jennifer and the serial killer can the two find love and happiness? And what will Mick do when he learns Cassie’s secret?

Laurie C. Kuna’s Some Practical Magic is a great story. Ms. Kuna’s mix of romance, humor, mystery and witchcraft is terrific. Cassie and Mick must face their personal demons if they want to be together. I loved Cassie’s familiar Endora. She added the right amount of humor to ever situation.
