Woman Seeking Man
Dr. Jordan Reed is not looking forward to her stepmother’s upcoming visit. She knows her non-existent love life will have her on the hot seat, so she advertises for a business partner to pretend to be her boyfriend. Jordan also does not need the added complication of her stepmother’s new husband, Kenneth. Before marrying her stepmother, Serena, Kenneth was her boyfriend. Kenneth dropped Jordan because her stepmother had more money. Jordan meets two very different men who have a profound effect on her libido. Brock is a new patient at her Psychiatry practice. Rocky is a man she meets in a local bar. She is unable to resist either man, causing her to pull away from both men. When Brock answers her ad, Jordan is forced to accept him as her business partner. She pushes Brock away after discovering he is not the man she thought he was. Brock steps back into Jordan’s life when he finds out she is being stalked. Jordan realizes she loves Brock, but can she get past his lies?
Brock Hamill intends to find out what makes Dr. Jordan Reed tick. He and his family believe that she is responsible for his sister’s suicide. Becoming one of Jordan’s patients is a good way to observe her and to get proof that she is a quack. The more he observes Jordan, the more he questions his original beliefs. Finding Jordan’s ad for a business partner is a great chance for Brock to get closer to her. Realizing that her ex, Kenneth, is indeed going to be a problem, Brock steps in. The lust he feels for Jordan seems to be overtaking his life. Finding out about Jordan’s stalker is a shock. Why would anyone want to hurt her? Brock’s protective instincts take over and he becomes her bodyguard. The stalker closes in as Brock admits to himself that he loves Jordan.
Woman Seeking Man is a heartwarming story. Jordan and Brock have to face and overcome their individual trust issues. Previous bad relationships rear their ugly heads as the two try to build a lasting relationship. Their sexual chemistry is palpable. Jordan and Brock shoot sparks off of one another. Ms. Scott has created a wonderful story of two people trying to find their way through the rocky maze of love. I hated to see this story end.
