When his psychic abilities feel her distress, he finds her barely conscious in her yard. As he helps her recover and learn to accept her new psychic abilities, he comes to the unfortunate conclusion that she is the only link they have to stop a madman and the feelings she stirs in him will have to wait.

Into a Dangerous Mind grabs readers’ attention immediately with its well-written opening scene. Ms. Gerow maintains this interest by crafting believable, likable characters that keep the plot moving. Tina Gerow vividly portrays the horror and emotional costs that Cassidy and Zachary endure as the investigation intensifies and the killer gets more desperate. The author does well not to sugarcoat the intentions of the antagonist while also not overshadowing the rest of the plot with his characterization. The pacing of the plot is enjoyable, fast enough to maintain the tension of the investigation, but moderate enough that readers can take time to enjoy the dialogue and relationship that develops between Cassidy and Zachary. Their romance encompasses all the emotions and obstacles of a real relationship, while also incorporating the concept of their psychic connection. Into a Dangerous Mind is a solid story that demonstrates Ms. Gerow is an author to watch for.
