Jack in the Pack

Jack in the Pack is the third story in the Wanton Werewolf series.

Jack Barton is an Olympic Champion sought after by many to market products with his name or face. When he is summoned to the International Cooperation of Lobos, he expects nothing more than an appointment selling him on their miracle item he needs to endorse. He is greeted by an unbelievably beautiful woman and is only able to follow and do as she insists. This gets him in more trouble than he will want and more than he will expect. Unable to resist her, he is finds himself engrossed in an afternoon of passion that is beyond his wildest dreams. At least that is what he thought.

Waking to learn that he is an “unnatural”, he must learn the ways of the garou, werewolf: for he is one. Plotting his revenge against those that did this to him, he agrees to a secretive mission to kidnap the princess, Fera. Unfortunately, Jack has no idea what agreeing to this mission will mean. Being with Fera causes him to second guess his plot for revenge and rethink his orders to take her to the predetermined safety point. What will Jack do?

Carys Weldon offers readers a story with multiple characters and hidden agendas. Jack is left riddled with confusion and emotions that he must learn to deal with. The story is written in a style that draws readers into Jack’s world and thoughts. The intense passion that Jack finds leaves him and readers breathless and flustered. Fera is a wonderful addition to the story. Her personality is one of tenderness and compassionate that offers a well thought out contrast to Jack’s driven personality. This story was a pleasure to read even though I have not read the first two installments in this series. I do plan to read them; however, readers will be pleased with this one even without the previous stories. Jack in the Pack is a wonderfully written story of shape-shifting paranormal with erotic passion and intrigue. Carys Weldon has done a great job and earned 5 Angels!
