Lucian Dalakis has been searching for his mate for many years and has all but given up when he starts dreaming of her. His dreams are very realistic and, just as he would in real life, he must save and protect her. He finds that his desire for her is just as strong as his will to be there for her always. Lucian wishes that he was not just dreaming. Will Lucian ever find his true love?

Delight Deveraux is a woman that has not had the prefect life. She has struggled for most of it, but thanks to a few special people it has been worth it. Unfortunately, she is now riddled with vivid dreams where she is running for her life and then saved by the most handsome man she has ever seen. Drawn to him in a way she does not understand, she spends her dreams begging for him to come and then clinging to him not only for her safety but also because she doesn’t want to let him go. Will there ever be a man for Delight that lives up to her dream man?

When Delight finds herself in the wrong place at the wrong time, she witnesses a murder and finds herself really running for her life. Doing the only thing she can think of, she calls out for her dream man to come save her again. Knowing she is crazy for doing so since he is only a dream man, she is utterly surprised and confused when he shows up and she is awake. Lucian and Delight are both stunned to learn that they were in each other dreams and the physical chemistry is even more intense in their waking hours. Lucian, being a Dalakis and a vampire, is consumed with the need to ensure that Delight is safe, protected, and his. When her family is placed in danger and the police become involved, Lucian and Delight find that they are trying to protect each other from harm. Doing this only causes more problems and those problems could end up costing more than they are willing to pay. Will Lucian be able to protect Delight now that he really must? Can Delight let go of her drive to be in control of her life and let someone take care of something for her? Will Lucian and Delight find what each has only been dreaming of: a mate?

N.J. Walters has written a beautiful story filled with raw and erotic passion, murder, and suspense. Lucian’s character is one of an alpha male driven to protect and claim what he sees as his. Although, he soon learns that even a man as strong as him can have a difficult time when it comes to love. Destiny is a tender compassionate woman that opens Lucian’s eyes with her feisty personality. Readers will instantly love both characters. The struggles that Lucian and Delight encounter and must conquer add a wonderful depth to this story.

Lucian’s Delight is a touching and suspenseful, erotic paranormal. I was immediately sucked into the two main characters as if they were someone dear to me. The story is riveting with its consuming passion and danger. Lucian is a strong and powerful man that goes after what he wants yet is overwhelmed by a small five foot package. This element is a wonderful addition to his character, offering readers a very believable Lucian. It is endearing to watch a strong man’s ability to remain in control of his emotions crumbled for the woman he loves. The secondary character of Stefan is beautifully written and draws readers into his pain and sense of loneliness. I find myself heartbroken for him and cannot wait to have the opportunity to read his story. Lucian’s Delight is written in a manner that it could definitely be read as a stand alone book, but I honestly don’t see why a reader would want to limit themselves to only one. If they are like me, readers will be unable to only read this one. N.J. Walters has done a tremendous job a creating a story worth reading over and over again and has made a true fan out of me. Lucian’s Delight has earned the best rating that I can offer: 5 Angels and a Recommended Read!
