Courtney Fox is an investigative reporter, and she's on a mission. She is desperate to locate and save her protégé from the clutches of a white slave ring. Before arriving she devises a simple plan: get in, locate Cara, and get out. However, upon arriving, that all changes. Her trainer is more than she imagined and her plan is shot. Now forced to play along with her Master TA in order to keep herself save and make it out alive, she is put to the test. She must learn to be submissive and quickly. She must also curb her attraction to her Master. Will she ever be the same? Will she make it out of there before it is too late?

Ty Dragon is undercover to break up an illegal slave ring. When he sees his new trainee, he is taken aback; he knows her and she is in trouble. Taking her under his wing in order to protect her, he has no idea she will reawaken things in him that he thought were nowhere to be found. Ty likes a strong woman, but one that is submissive and obedient at home. When he realizes that the plan to take the place down is in jeopardy, he does what any good law enforcement agent would and speeds it up. In order to do this, Courtney must leave and Ty doesn’t want to lose her. Will he ever see her again? Could she possibly want what he does?

Honey Jans has created an intense story of being in control and letting go of it. The plot is riddled with emotions and the danger of being discovered. Ty is truly a dominant male who knows what he wants. Courtney is discovering a world in pain and pleasure at Ty’s hands. The personalities of the two main characters are a wonderful combination sure to thrill any reader. The little hints of suspense and possible danger make nice additions to a plot utterly consumed with erotic passion. As the story unravels, readers will be cheering for Ty to have someone to share his passion with and humored by Courtney's inability to let him go. Will Ty and Courtney find more than tantalizing pleasures at the end of a paddle? Has Ty finally met his match?

The Commander’s Club is beautifully written and will immediately draw the reader into the story with its wonderful, witty words and erotic passion. The author does a great job at writing each character’s personality, allowing the readers to feel their emotions. This was one of my first reading ventures into the world of dominance and submission and I have to admit that I enjoyed this story tremendously. Ty’s concern for Courtney is as strong as his desire to have her. Courtney's fear for her friend is heartwarming. It was a pleasure to read about two characters on a mission that was a little over their heads and utterly driven by passion. Honey Jans offers readers an outstanding story mixed with erotic pleasures and suspense; she definitely earned her 5 Angels!
