Undercovers 3: Illicit Behavior
Illicit Behavior is the third story in the Undercovers series.
Joe Rodriquez is a Narcotics Detective assigned with keeping a woman safe. Hoping this assignment will give him the mini-vacation or break he needs, he is almost looking for forward to it. Unfortunately, he finds himself instantly attracted to Donna and filled with the urge to have her safe and in his bed. Will he be able to protect her and keep his hands to himself? Will the task of keeping her safe be as easy as originally thought?
Donna has information that is going to get her killed. It almost has more than once and the information led to her sister being kidnapped. Being placed in protective custody, she is continuously looking for her moment to escape and save her sister since the police are of no use. Little did she know, the cop assigned to protecting her would be utterly attractive. Will she be able to get away to save Callie? Will she be able to keep her thoughts confined to planning her escape and off of Detective Joe?
Ruth D. Kerce has written a wonderful story that could stand on it’s own without a doubt. I can say this as I have not read the first two installments in this series. Illicit Behavior is filled with suspense, humor, and erotic passion. Joe will be faced with the knowledge that maybe he wants more from Donna than a rump in the sack. Donna will have to deal with the emotions of losing her sister, being hunted, and a policeman she can’t seem to keep her hands off of and out of her mind. The passion that consumes Joe and Donna is sizzling and tantalizing. Readers will find themselves a little hot under the collar for it. Illicit Behavior is the part of a series that I plan to read each installment cover to cover. This story was a pleasure to read. I was engrossed from the first page and stayed glued to my seat until it had ended. The additional characters offer readers a glimpse of characters in the other installments that will ensure the desire to read their stories also. I know I cannot stop with just one. Ruth D. Kerce did a tremendous job and earned 5 Angels in the process!
