Courting Midnight

Having roamed theEarth for as long as he can remember, Lucius White’s friends are starting to wonder if he is at his end and worried he might do something drastic. As one of the Upyr originally not of Earth, he has done about all there is to do. When he runs upon his dying look-a-like, Lucas Delavert, the last thing he expects is exactly what he does. He, with the help of his long time friend Edmund, decides to take over the life of Lucas Delavert so to speak. However things will not go as smooth as Lucius would have liked.

Theodora Beckett is used to others fawning over the beauty of her sister Caroline, but never her. Her mother has made it plain and clear that Caroline is the one to catch the eye of a dashing lord. Sitting in her garden, she is taken by surprise when an unknown but yet charming gentleman sweeps her off her feet. Little does she know that it won’t be long before she sees the mystery man again, and when she does, she will be shocked at just who he is.

When Lucuis and Theodora are around one another the passion ignites, but can they overcome the obstacles that they will encounter or will their differences keep them apart?

Emma Holly has written a superb novel that will leave readers fawning after Lucius White. He is truly a hero to fall in love with. While he is one you won’t soon forget, Theodora is also one you will enjoy. She has a heart gold and truly remarkable spirit. The light in her personality balances the dark of Lucius’s past. Together they experience passion that leaves readers wanting more.

Courting Midnight is well deserving of its Recommended Read. Emma Holly has once again brought her readers a true treasure. This reviewer cannot wait till the next book from this astonishing author.
