Callie Shaw is not fond of men who keep secrets. When she goes home to Deception Bay, her starry-eyed sister is on the verge of marrying a virtual stranger and her cheating father has left town. Mitch Brooker is a private eye. He knows that telling lies work for him. He keeps everyone happy, avoids disapproval and earns a living at the same time. He has to find out who’s behind a coffin-switching crime ring and who stole a million dollars from his client. The only way he can gain any information is to masquerade as a groundskeeper. But when a little harmless flirting with Callie, his prime suspect's sexy sister-in-law, evolves into a steamy romance, things get complicated. Mitch discovers that no matter how many lies he tells, when real love strikes, there is no more room for lies.

Here Lies Love is a showstopper from page one. What a way to start a wedding! Ms. Darryl hooked me with her excellent read and I did not want to put this book down. It was fun playing along in the chase to see if Callie would ‘fess up to Mitch or vice versa. To trust or not to trust, and it’s fun to see how it works out when love wins in the end. While the dialogue is refreshing between the characters, the secondary characters make it an even better, more captivating read. When Mitch referred to Bryon, as Mr. Dumbbell, I laughed out loud. I could almost picture the scene. In addition, the pages burn with sizzling heat and that’s only between Callie and Mitch. Ms. Darryl has created enough mystery to keep you on your toes and some sizzling action between Callie and Mitch to have you screaming for more. This book is a keeper.
