Out of the Darkness is a wonderfully dark and sexy tale of werewolves, vampires, and what would happen if the two races somehow produced offspring with characteristics drawn from each. The commonality between vamps and weres is blood and lust, and Harlee gets a crash course in surviving in a world where sex and blood rule. She’s suddenly adrift, caught between two foreign yet familiar cultures, and she is aroused beyond her wildest imaginings. It was fascinating to see her at war with herself, to watch her learned prejudices and her commitment to her career fight against her true self and create a tension that really adds to this tale. And the men...woohooohooo, we’re talking about some spicy, flaming, scorching hot males here; you’ll be looking for the fire extinguisher after reading about these guys, and when you “meet” Adrian and Duncan, you’ll understand exactly what I mean.
