When Darkness Falls

Librarian Nina Nichols is fascinated with the cop who lives across the hall in her apartment building. He’s everything she wants in a man, but, in spite of her best “helpless female” ploys, he doesn’t seem to notice her. It’s got to be obvious that she’s making a play for him, but he gives no response...none at all. Is he totally uninterested or just plain stupid?

Darq Dillon is neither stupid nor uninterested; in fact, he’s achingly aware of the hot little librarian across the hall. He’s just doing his best to avoid the whole relationship thing because of the extra little something in his life that makes him unique. Against his better judgement, he gets involved, and when Nina begins receiving threatening letters, suddenly he faces both an evil enemy and an even bigger danger – losing his heart to Nina and revealing what he is.

Sable Grey pens a scorching story of passion, peril, and paranormal ability in When Darkness Falls. Darq is totally yummy, and is such an Alpha male that it nearly made me quiver reading about him, while Nina is spirited, funny, and sexy. The brilliant addition of the secondary character, Jack, tugged at my heartstrings and gave this tale a softer side. With great fight scenes, humorous dialogue and smoking hot sensuality, When Darkness Falls really delivers the goods. Ms. Grey writes a hot and spicy quickie that will have readers fully involved and wishing for more. With one of the best woo-damn-raise-my-pulse-ten-notches love scenes I’ve read in a long time, When Darkness Falls makes me wish for some Darq-ness of my own.
