A Knight in the Dungeon
Jocelyn was thrown into a dark dungeon for trespassing on the lands of mad Ulric. She is terrified of the total blackness, even to the point of hysteria. Out of the darkness she hears a comforting male voice. Alard, a crusading knight, has been imprisoned in the next cell for three long months. Through a tiny crack in the mortar, he is able to calm Jocelyn by telling her tales of his journey.
Alard questions Jocelyn about her life in the convent and her decision to take her vows. He believes that she should experience more of the world before making such a huge step. The conversation evolves to an intimate level and Alard very capably guides Jocelyn to bliss by directing her explorations of her untouched body.
The following morning, a rescue party arrives for Jocelyn and she insists that Alard be released as well. Jocelyn is not prepared for his appearance. Alard is unshaven, stooped and covered with heavy bruising. The night before, he had been her saviour, yet in the daylight, Jocelyn can barely face the man. She is horrified when her father suggests marriage to this man for strategic reasons. Alard is hurt by her outright refusal; she is not the pure soul that had given him so much hope throughout the night.
If you are looking for a sweetly erotic medieval love story you are sure to enjoy A Knight in the Dungeon. In only a few chapters, this tale is both complete and satisfying. A sheltered but stubborn young woman matches wits with a determined knight who has seen too much of life slip through his fingers. Alard’s soul touched Jocelyn’s soul briefly in a time of crisis, now he is sure that she is his destiny. The challenge of proving this to Jocelyn provides many light-hearted, humorous moments. Alard’s seduction is well-planned, a sweet temptation to tease and try his woman; these moments are not overly graphic. Readers are sure to finish the tale with a smile on their faces, touched by this heart-warming romance.
