Staff of Fire

Paige Vaughn is not your average teenager. On her 15th birthday she receives a strange gift from her aunt Ella in Wales, one of three. These strange gifts have a purpose, but Paige isn’t sure what that purpose is until she meets a boy named Cameron Sloan. Cameron too has received a strange gift from a distant uncle in Scotland…a quarterstaff to be precise. Paige and Cameron find themselves hunted by a monster whose goal is to steal the power their gifts possess. It is up to Paige and Cameron, joined by two other young teens named Teagan and Jacko, to defend their new power from danger.

The Staff of Fire by Jennifer Brassel is filled with adventure, surprise and intrigue. The trials these teens face are more than any average child could withstand. Paige shows that intelligence, maturity, and wits aren’t just held by adults. Cameron is a strong hero character that simply radiates bravery. I think this book is a wonderful read and I would recommend it to all ages for hours of enjoyment.
