Members of her family before her have been able to read crystals and Lisa soon realizes that she has the same abilities. The emerald necklace that her Uncle left her, soon becomes the focus of Lisa’s world, it will protect her from harm and will also show her the man that is her destiny when he is near. Lisa’s life changes in many ways, danger surrounds her on all sides as she becomes caught in the middle of murder and evil.

Marco and Saul set up shop in Ben Lomond to discover what is so important there to Norda. Marco soon discovers Lisa MacDougall who is his complement, his lifemate, to his own magic.
But what link does Lisa have to Norda? How can Marco save her from the dangers surrounding her? Will they have a future together?
Monette Michaels’ tale, Green Fire is an exciting and intriguing tale that grips the reader from the very beginning. There is a wide array of characters that transfix the reader and each adds stellar quality to the story. Lisa is a strong woman who tries to make sense of her new powers, while also dealing with the intense feelings for Marco and all the new men in her life. Marco has lived with his magic all of his life and will stop at nothing to make Lisa his. Marco is a compelling alpha-male with a heart of gold and good looks that melt ladies to the bone. Ms. Michaels keeps this fast-paced tale hopping with the evil surrounding Lisa. Starting from Andrei Romanoff, her boss in New York City, who stops at nothing to find her. Then there is Beau Crawford, the Ben Lomond lawyer who works for Norda and tries to scare Lisa off her land. Finally there is Norda himself who sends his hit-men to get the job done, take down Marco Santiago and bring Lisa to him. I couldn’t decide who I liked the most out of all of Lisa’s protectors. Marco is a wonderful character and Lisa’s destiny, who wears his heart on his sleeve for her. There is Saul, Marco’s partner, who is entertaining and always on his toes being partnered with Marco and his magic. Then there is Ben Lomond’s Sheriff, Travis Dodge, who falls for Lisa and comes to care for her, who will also do anything to make sure that no harm comes to her. This is a pulse-pounding adventure from start to finish, that I could not put down once I began. The energy from all the characters, as well as the necklace, leaps off the pages and the excitement doesn’t stop. However, some of the editing in Green Fire disappointed me. I enjoyed this tale thoroughly, it is truly unbelievable, but there were a few inconsistencies that leaped of the pages. One character name was spelled differently a few times throughout the book and another was named at the wrong time, after he was dead. These errors threw me off the story when they occurred and am disappointed with these slight imperfections in such a remarkable story. But that said, overall, the story is amazing and the exciting adventure never ends in the pages of Green Fire. This reviewer is also hoping that Monette Michaels will bring us stories for Saul and Travis. Both of these guys NEED their own stories. I would be first in line to read them!
