Catch of the Day

When Sandra Doyle and her boss attend a conference together, Sandra hopes that the time away will allow them more time together. Their secret affair is going nowhere, but Sandra hopes to change all that. Of course, Sandra doesn’t realize that he has other plans and soon finds herself on a fishing boat.

Sandra was raised in a coastal town. Whereas the fishing excursion was not what she had planned, the charter eventually feels like coming home. The captain, Aiden Foley, displays a competence and symmetry of motion that appeals to Sandra on more than one level. Will she find more than just the comfort of the waves on this business trip?

Tulsa Brown packs a punch into very few pages. Catch of the Day is a wonderful, hot, quick read. Sandra is an enjoyable character and is more deeply developed than anticipated. The glimpses into her family and past are entertaining and provide a plausible backdrop for her present. The scenes between Sandra and her boss are laced with heat, yet it was the interaction with Aiden that is a true mark of Tulsa’s talent. In less than twenty pages she is able to create characters that have personality and steamy chemistry. Catch of the Day is an excellent choice if you only have a few moments but still want an enjoyable, spicy romance!
