Dark Shines My Love

Patric LeClerc lives in a world filled with shadows and pain. He has long since given up on the dream of having someone to share his life with. His contact with people is limited to the nurses that come in and out of his home. He has been able to ignore them in the past; however, when his latest nurse, Callie Carpenter, moves in he is unable to overlook her. Callie just wants to provide a stable life for her son. Dark Shines My Love is an emotional and moving story. Patric and Callie are realistic and will touch readers’ hearts as they try and make their way in the world after so many setbacks. The setting of the story is a quiet house, far removed from everything else. Yet despite the remote location, the characters are confronted with drama, heartache, and perhaps a chance at love. The story moves surprisingly fast, yet Ms. Hart’s writing ensures that the reader is right there with the characters the entire time. Callie’s son, Cameron, will win your heart. His bravery and uncertainties will tug at your heartstrings as this young boy confronts what no child should ever have to see. The writing is poignant and realistic. The road to happiness is not a smooth path for Patric and Callie, but their happiness is that much more heartfelt because of what it took to get there. Alexis Hart has created a wonderful tale of trust and love, be sure to pick up a copy of Dark Shines My Love.
