A Thing Called Love

Jamie Hanna is a detective who desperately wants to be promoted to sergeant. Her dreams of that promotion are shattered when she is set up and shot while on a stakeout. To make matters even worse, her partner ends up dead. She looks like she is a dirty cop and the investigation is on, her integrity heightened by the fact that it looks like she and her partner were engaged in a little extracurricular excitement.

Dan Jansen is a handsome newspaper editor who senses that all is not as it seems with the beautiful detective. He is intrigued by her smooth brown sugar skin and dark eyes, the perfect foil to his blonde hair and blue eyes. His gut instincts tell him that there is more to this crooked cop story than meets the eye. To complicate his feelings even more is the fact that he and Jamie are now joining forces to catch a killer. Being forced to spend so much time together doesn't do anything to help him control his desire for her, it seems to be raging quickly out of control. Is there any hope for them solving this mystery that they are involved in? Moreover, is there any hope for Dan and Jamie?

A Thing Called Love is a suspense novel with a twist. The interracial couple story line adds an element of uniqueness and eroticism to the average dirty cop story. Dan and Jamie are a stunning couple, the perfect example of opposites attracting, both physically and mentally. A Thing Called Love combines an exciting story line with romance and heat to make for a thoroughly enjoyable read.
