Twilight Crossings II

Zavend Preece hunts for the slayer of the High Mage and thief of his amulet. Praxis, a former slave, seeks her freedom. In Mourn A Moonreft Sky, they must trust each other before they are able to solve the mystery. Shannah Biondine cleverly reveals that honor is within the person not the status one has.

Caireya considers herself powerless while Eronne, her sister, perceives possibility. In The Well of Forever, Caireya is unable to comprehend her own strength and power on which her independence rests. Jeanine Berry deftly creates a tale of growth and courage that frees a slave and restores the world.

Eirena mourns the abandonment of her goddess and her people’s lack of faith. Valgard pursues material wealth to offer his gods. In The Treasure of Arvalis, they must discover the “true treasure” before all is lost. Jeanne Allen ingeniously weaves a story of unity, truth, and love that may yet change the world.

I could not put the book down and I did not want the stories to end. I hope that there is a Twilight Crossings III in the future. Jeanne, Jeanine, Shannah, and Sheri’s ability to create complex stories with divergent yet unified themes is a pleasure and gift to behold.
