Misfit in Middle America

Chief of police Adam Sisel is 36 years old and not happy with his life. He has a teenage goth, art student son who he cannot seem to communicate with, a job which takes up a great deal of his time, and the hots for a local reporter who seems to look through him instead of see him as a real man. Now he has an even bigger problem. Someone or something is killing teenagers in his town. As the townspeople point fingers in the direction of his misfit son, Adam must race to discover the truth behind brutal slayings. Reporter Beth Murrey offers to help Adam solve the mystery and reveal her own secret desires in the process.

Misfit in Middle America is a quick read (less than 50 pgs) but powerful and fully developed in spite of its short length. The characters are identifiable and the reader will become intrigued with the story quite quickly. Adam is a man who has fears, needs, worries and desires and Ms. Roth let's the reader into his head to see those feelings and how he deals with them. The sex scenes in this book, both real and fantasy, are of the hot, passionate, make the reader turn on the air conditioner type. The notice: "Warning: This story contains graphic violence, explicit sex, adult situations, extreme gore, and is not for the faint of heart." appears before the first page of this book and is there for a reason. The sex is red hot, the murders are graphic and the undercurrent of evil is ominous. I found Misfit in Middle America to be a fast and furious read and I am glad to have taken the ride.
