Blood and Soul 2: Vampire Crusader
True love has no barriers or boundaries. It is unconditional, even when your lover is a vampire…
The depth of passion Marie has for her Vampire lord, Charles is endless. He is perfect in every way. His physique, stamina, and ardour are unmatched by any mortal man. She cannot fathom the reasons behind his devotion to her, so is reluctant to fully commit and turn vampire herself. Marie believes that he will soon become bored with her if they are to face eternity together. When Charles fails to return home, Marie is distraught. She tries to track him down in a club owned by his Vampire master and girlfriend, Zigor and Melinda. They say that Charles went missing following a confrontation with some vampire hunters. Marie presumes that he is being held captive because he had vowed to always be with her. For months, she struggles to cope alone. She has lost her passion for life and is making herself sick with worry.
Vampire hunters who were carrying silver spray attacked Charles. His powers of regeneration are virtually useless against silver, so the injuries to his once handsome face and body will take centuries to erase. He cannot let his love see him disfigured; he is not the same man. Some months later, at a masquerade ball, Marie is certain that a scarred, masked man is Charles. Her instincts must be wrong; her lover would never abandon and deceive her in this cruel manner.
This couple sizzles! Be prepared for some hot and quite daring eroticism. A strong emotional build up helps to create some of the most delicious lovemaking scenes you will ever read. Charles is burdened by a huge male ego, he is sure that his lover will not be able to see past his disfigurements and will reject him. Many of the self-doubting opinions he has sounded typically masculine to this reader and built up the image of a very believable character. Marie very quickly realizes what she has lost and is desperate to have it again. She will play any game and act out any part if she can get her man back. Although this tale is quite short, it is an excellent trip to the heady world of eroticism. A scarred vampire and his luscious lover add a quite unique touch. As Blood and Soul 2: Vampire Crusader is part of a series of vampire themed books, this reader is now anxiously looking forward to Kate Hill’s next release.
