Dragon Lords: Book Two:
The Perfect Prince

Nadja Aleksander is on the run from her father and a horrible engagement that she doesn’t want. She ends up on Galaxy Brides, which is heading to Qurilixen where there are many bachelors waiting for potential brides. As she gets off the ship, one warrior in particular catches her eye. He is Prince Olek of Draig, and when he sees Nadja, his crystal necklace pulses, letting him know that this is the woman destined to be his. Unfortunately, what could have started off as a good relationship turns sour when Olek unknowingly lies to Nadja about being a Prince. Nadja wanted an ordinary man to live with, someone who was a farmer or a merchant, someone who didn’t call attention to himself. She is still on the run after all, and can’t let her father find her; else he will take great pleasure in hurting her. When Nadja discovers the truth about Olek, she is angry and hurt. Olek wants to get to know his bride, Nadja puts up many barriers, creating animosity and distrust in their growing relationship. Olek doesn’t know how to overcome Nadja’s distrust. Will he be able to prove to her that being his Princess will be worth it? Will he be able to keep her safe, and above all, will she ever admit that she is as madly in love with him as he is with her.

The Perfect Prince was utterly perfect! Michelle M. Pillow has created a wonderful world where the Princes of Qurilixen have to not only protect their planet from invaders, but they have to learn how to handle their new wives. Olek was such a masculine, protective warrior who did everything in his power to win Nadja’s heart. Nadja is struggling not only to protect herself, but also to protect her heart from Olek. She doesn’t want to see him hurt if her father finds her. I loved not only the interactions between Nadja and Olek, but being able to see the lives and loves of the other Princes too. Nadja’s villainous father provided an extra element of suspense and fear to the story that Ms. Pillow uses very effectively. The dialogue was smart and fast-paced and Michelle M. Pillow kept the action flowing from one page to the next. Though this is a sci-fi fantasy story, readers who don’t normally enjoy those genres will find The Perfect Prince utterly enjoyable just because of the wonderful characters and creative setting. This is the second book in the Dragon Lords series, but it definitely can be read alone. I plan on picking up the first book though because I want to read about all the Princes of Qurilixen. This is a recommended read because it is such a wonderful story that will really transport the reader to a totally different world.
