Sins and Secrets
Sins and Secrets might prove deadly when the Special Investigations Agency is involved.
Tara Crayton made a new life for herself, far away from the man that made her life a nightmare. She has hidden her past and concealed the abilities that have caused her ridicule her entire life. She is content, if somewhat lonely. However, an early morning call crumbles the life she has made and this time she might not survive without help from a friend.
Marcus Hyatt has been undercover at Douglas Financial Services for a few months. He knows that something is not right, and yet his abilities fail him. As he tries to piece together the clues around him, he is drawn to his co-worker Tara. Now is definitely not the time for a distraction, but when her abusive ex-husband comes back into her life, the hero in Marcus can’t leave her unprotected. When his investigation puts Tara in danger, can he keep her safe and resist his desire long enough to ferret out her ex-husband and finish his assignment? What happens when the secrets they are hiding are revealed?
Denise Agnew continues to deliver inventive, passionate stories that never fail to delight readers. Ms. Agnew ensures that readers are hooked on her Special Investigations Agency. The heroes and villains are so diverse that readers can’t wait to see what is coming next. Sins and Secrets has plenty to offer. The main characters show a depth that is refreshing. Tara’s trials are well-told and do not make light of the trauma she has endured. The connection between Tara and Marcus is wonderfully developed. The sex scenes are explicit and heated. Ms. Agnew’s style brings a fresh spin to their scenes that make their lovemaking much more erotic. The action in the story rarely stops. The parallel plots within this story shift the action continually and coalesce into a climatic ending. Even as readers appreciate the ending, they will be left wondering what nefarious plot might arise next from the Shadow Realm and whether the SIA can expect to see more dangerous, unpredictable enemies. Hopefully this means Ms. Agnew will be bringing us more Special Investigations Agency men and women.
