The Warlock is an enjoyable category novel that has just the right blend of action, fantasy, and romance. Sylvia Kincaid has drawn upon magic and the supernatural to set this story apart from its counterparts. Daigon is a wonderful male lead. In a plot rife with treachery and greed, he is truly a man of honor. The author’s portrayal of his dignity and fairness will endear him to readers long before Rhiannon has made up her mind about him. As these two characters get to know one another, the scenes are filled with humor, misunderstandings, and a passion that lingers along the edges. Add to this the underlying tension of the impending threat to Daigon’s rule, and this is a fantasy novel you’re sure to enjoy.
