Temple of Time 3: Forlorn

In Jane Toombs’ Temple of Time 3: Forlorn, Wilda is convicted of Renz’s dark sorcery despite his unwillingness to teach her.

Wilda is a witch and assistant to Renz, a dark sorcerer. Sentenced to go into the foreboding Temple of Time with a shorn head, by the Mizpa tribunal, she encounters another realm within the Temple. Powerless yet skeptical, Wilda accepts Vorst’s assistance. Eventually, she learns to trust and love Vorst as he cares for and protects her. In time, her hair grows and her power is restored. Is there a way to use her magic to shift herself into a draig?

Vorst is a mage created draig. Feared and hunted by humans, Vorst lives alone within his cave. Wilda’s tender and affectionate touch has kindled devotion and passion within Vorst. Vorst yearns to always have Wilda near him; however, humans were not made to live in caves. How can Vorst protect and provide for Wilda in a cave?

Temple of Time 3: Forlorn cleverly tells the tale of healing, newfound love, and soul connection between two separate beings. Nevertheless, their love and connection is tested when Wilda is captured by King Kress’s soldiers and forced to leave Vorst wounded and alone. Suddenly she must choose betwixt her non-human love and a King who arouses her lust.

Jane Toombs eloquently describes the profound and pure love that develops between two souls who are physically incompatible and the sacrifices they are ready to make to be together. Wilda and Vorst’s quest is a poignant and passionate saga with a surprise ending. The course of true love may be bumpy for Wilda and Vorst; nevertheless, it is an amazing ride. I hope Jane Toombs continues to write about the Temple of Time and the amazing love found there.
