Will Raiden confess his feelings for Jade before he loses her to her grief? Will Jade rashly go after Amidurah owing to her yearning to avenge her sister’s ruthless, senseless death? Sydney Somers’ evocatively and intensely describes the depths of torment and loneliness that propels a rational person to seek retribution. Raiden has experienced the wreckage and ruin revenge creates; nevertheless, will he be able to persuade Jade to let go. Jade is determined to destroy Amidurah alone if needed. Who will seek to stop him if everyone refuses to try because he is so powerful? Jade will, but will it be alone.

Watchtowers: Air is the first in a four book saga that deftly interweaves the reader into the lives of Jade and Raiden. I could not stop reading it until the exhilarating conclusion and eagerly await Watchtowers: Water. Sydney Somers’ tale of anguish, love, and healing touched me profoundly and I was sad when it was over.
