Love Potion #9

Lori Ditmer and Theo Grady have been best friends all their lives. They share absolutely everything. They have the same birthday, they work together, they bought their duplex together, their names are listed on each others bank accounts and car registration...the list is endless. In fact, they behave just like a couple – apart from in one area. Sex. They’ve talked about it, sure. After all, they are perfect for each other. But neither of them is willing to risk the great friendship they have, even though a deeper relationship may be the best thing that could ever happen to either of them. It doesn’t help that their mothers keep nagging them about getting together. They just won’t let up. It doesn’t occur to them that their mothers – and everyone else – can see that they are perfect together and are made for each other. This last incident really takes the cake though. It’s their birthday and their mothers have bought them only one present. It seems that at last they may finally be doing what their offspring request of them. Their present is a vial of liquid, labeled #9. Yep, their mothers have resorted to a love potion to get them together. Granted, they claim that it is only colored water. But is it possible that the liquid they consume is much more? It would certainly explain why after drinking it they can’t stop thinking about each other in a purely carnal sense and why they end up in bed together before the night is out. After all, what else could possibly explain it?

Caitlyn Willows has several short tales published, some of which I have read, all of which are erotic. With this story, Ms Willows once again demonstrates that she can most definitely write erotica, first building the sexual tension in the tale before the characters wind up in bed. With this story, the two characters are very close friends who are so close they can finish each other’s sentences. That they haven’t already slept together is amazing. That they haven’t gotten married is something their respective mothers have been trying to fix – for years, to no success. Come and join these two as they experience the sexual rapture their closeness has promised they can share for so long. This is a great quick read, perfect for those who are always on the go but want to spice things up a bit with an erotic story with a traditional ‘happy’ ending.
