Holly
Although sexually Holly is a submissive, professionally she is a successful businesswoman determined to continue the family bookstore tradition and provide a unique haven for the New Orleans community. When Holly’s relationship with her Master leaves her scarred, both inside and out, she focuses on building up her shop and making ends meet. Holly is stunned to learn that her mortgage is sold to a multimillion dollar real estate specialty business. However, Holly will do whatever it takes to keep her family earnings, even it means making a dangerous plan with a virtual stranger.
Ethan has been in love with Holly since making her acquaintance at a special party, years back. He follows her closely and is outraged to learn of her abuse at the hands of her ex-lover. Yet, Ethan finds the perfect opportunity to show Holly that a true Dominant-submissive relationship can be fulfilling, by striking a deal with her that is hard to resist. However, after an intense weekend, will Ethan be able to convince Holly to consider him as her Master, forever?
Holly by Dominique Adair is a charming story about rebuilding trust and seeking sweet revenge. Readers will enjoy Holly’s frank emotions and her ability to truly go after what she wants. This is no weak woman, but neither does she pretend to have superhuman powers. Holly recognizes her weaknesses, and is able to maturely handle the obstacles in her path. I liked her strength and her courage. Ethan is also a determined man, with an imaginative mind. He truly wins Holly’s heart in the most unconventional way and it was nice to see Holly’s healing occur in a manner that didn’t deny a true part of herself. The lesson learned in this story is real; a true relationship will not deliberately cause unwanted pain. This is a quick, satisfying read that reminds us of the powerful connection between love and trust. I highly recommend Holly to readers of all erotic romance genres.
